The Last Week of Farm Goodies.....
It's hard to believe that we are actually winding down. With the weather at night, we are no longer able to keep the greens warm, even with hoops and wrap. Our season has come to an end. Honey was harvested last week and it's beautiful. Thicker than usual, but the harvest was very low. Regretfully, we will not have honey to sell but we will have it use! You will just need to dine in to enjoy it. Plans for our Fall Harvest Dinner did not manifest this year. Things were just too hectic, we look forward to next year when we will hopefully have more time to figure out the logistics. Thank you again for your support of our small restaurant and family farm.
We look forward to 2012!

This Weekend From The Farm We Have......
Delicate and delicious petite carrots, baby greens, baby bibb lettuce and heirloom tomatoes.
Finally! The tomatoes are starting to be ripe. It has been a very tough year for tomatoes. Too much moisture and early, cool summer did not help us. Even the most recent heat came with too much humidity. However, what we have to serve this wekend in our Summer Farm Salad are most tasty. Come on over to PRIMA and taste what we have picked, cleaned and prepared for you. The baby bibb lettuce is coming with a Grilled Center Cut Pork Chop, white peach, ginger & thyme vinaigrette, grilled peach & bacon salsa, roasted fingerlings. Yum!

French Style Baby Greens, Summer Rhubarb & Raspberries
Some of the tastiest greens are coming from the farm now. The raspberries are small and packed with flavor. Come enjoy our produce, served at our table this weekend.
Also try our new Summer Berry Tiramisu with crushed Amaretti cookies. Yum!
We are starting to think about having fall wine dinners at our farm.
Interetsed? Please email us, if we have enough interest, we will start planing.

Baby Lettuces & Radishes Are Here
Starting tonight we have baby lettuces, greens and radishes from the farm. Get in from this crazy heat and humidity and try our fresh greens featured in our specials this weekend. I cannot think of a better way to start off Fourth of July Weekend than dinner at PRIMA with our farm fresh goodies and a nice bottle of Chenin Blanc!

It's Strawberry Season
This weekend we are using fresh strawberries from our neighbor's farm, Mike and Colleen Klingelhutz. Come try them in our Summer Berry & Orangecello Tiramisu with crushed Amaretti cookies...yum!
Fresh Cilantro and Coriander from our farm are being used in this weekends Pesce and Carne Features. We are seeing all of our greens, radishes and baby carrots go wild, soon we will have them for your table. Harold Weber planted many more rows today and the farm is looking good. More to come this week from our King Family Farm. Sun on the way too....we HOPE. Monday, June 6, 2011 It's A Cutting Horse Weekend June 11th in Stacy, MN...
In addition to growing specialty foods on our farm, we also take pride in our Cow Horses. Jennifer is actively attempting to learn the sport of Cutting on her AQHA Mare, Disco's Hickory Stick. Having been a Dressage rider and Team Sorter for years, the sport of Cutting is a new game. I FINALLY have a good Cutting horse and I look forward to a great year in the Cutting pen with much guidance from my Trainer, Kyle Noyce.
Spring planting has begun.....
Monday, June 6, 2011
We finally have tomatoes in the ground and Harold Weber, our local partner/greens farmer has just finished the raised bed plantings for our greens. The herb beds have long since been started and doing well. Only our basil seems sad, waiting for heat, that seems now to have arrived in August form in June.
Over the weekend we used chive flowers, chives, rhubarb and oregano in our dinner features, and they were all lovely and packed with flavor.
The Honey Bees are working like mad, pollinating and there are so many choices for them this year. Alfalfa and clover are very present, along with so many wildflowers, the honey should be extraordinary.
More to come as the week goes on. Watch for new farm photos on the Gallery Page soon.
